OFFICE OF COUNSELLING AND WELLNESS
Student Guidance Officer (two posts) (Ref. 16051806-IE)
Duties
The appointees will be required to:
a) provide support in organising programmes and activities for enhancing all-round development of students;
b) work closely with Counsellors in supporting students and providing guidance to students on the adaptation of University life;
c) provide training, supervision and coaching to student leaders/helpers/ambassadors;
d) supervise supporting staff in programme implementation; and
e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head, Office of Counselling and Wellness or her delegates.
The appointees may be required to work on irregular hours.
Qualifications
Applicants should have
a) a recognised degree, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Education or a relevant discipline;
b) a few years’ relevant experience, preferably in working with university students;
c) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
d) good computer literacy;
e) a good servicing attitude; and
f) excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.
Remuneration and Condition of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointments will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
