COLLEGE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree Programme and Undergraduate Honours Degree Programmes at both the HKBU Kowloon Tong and Shatin Shek Mun campuses. The CIE, managed by the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU, currently enrolls about 5,000 students, and is committed to sustaining the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following position:

The appointee will be responsible for (i) developing, implementing and monitoring initiatives for College-wide student activities and student development programmes conducted locally and overseas; (ii) providing administrative, secretarial and office support to the Student Development Centre of the College; (iii) overseeing and reviewing the operation of the Student Development Centre by liaison with various parties within the College, with the HKBU community and external bodies; (vi) serving in committees to prepare for Quality Assurance documents, procedural manuals and statistical reports; and (v) supervising a team of clerical staff. He/She will also need to ensure the operations of the Centre are in compliance with rules and guidelines, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of CIE.

Applicants should possess (a) a university degree with at least five years of relevant work experience; (b) excellent interpersonal and communication skills; (c) good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; (d) administrative sense and competence; and (e) a strong sense of responsibility. Applicants should be a supportive and dynamic person with a meticulous mind.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The appointee will be required to serve at either/both the Kowloon Tong and Shatin Shek Mun campuses.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
