SINO-FOREST APPLIED RESEARCH CENTRE FOR PEARL RIVER DELTA ENVIRONMENT (SINO-FOREST ARCPE)

Sino-Forest ARCPE is an applied research centre in the Hong Kong Baptist University aiming at improving the environmental quality of the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region with major research focuses in environmental and waste management. More details on our research directions and engagements are available in our website http://arcpe.hkbu.edu.hk. The Centre is now seeking suitable candidates to fill the following vacancies:

The appointees are expected to participate in research projects of the Centre including Anaerobic Digestion, Composting, Microbial Fuel Cell and Sludge Dewatering. They will also participate in consultancy works and community projects in green roof and waste recycling.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, science or agriculture, with at least three years of work experience. Applicants with postgraduate qualification, consultancy and community education experience would be advantageous. Applicants should have good command of spoken and written English, and good communication skills. Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Research Assistant.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. The appointees are expected to commence duty as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
