Hang Seng's Risk and Compliance ("RKM") strives to maintain a well-balanced risk profile for the Bank while enabling businesses to thrive. Our team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types. We are dedicated to collaborate with businesses, other functional units and regulatory bodies to develop and implement robust and customized risk management frameworks and measures to maintain the strong market position of the Bank.

Compliance - providing proactive assistance in identifying, assessing and containing Compliance Risk; fostering a compliance culture; optimising relations with regulators; and preserving the Bank's reputation in the marketplace by ensuring that our policies comply with the spirit and letter of the laws and regulations wherever we do business. 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Regulatory Compliance Global Banking & Markets Manager (Senior RC GBM Manager).

Principal responsibilities

• A key strategic risk management role that has a broad remit and responsibilities for leading implementation and management of all aspects of Regulatory Compliance including impact analysis of regulatory changes, and driving coordination and execution of the various Regulatory Compliance work streams
• Partner with the GBM business and leadership team as well as other Risk and Compliance functions, to implement policies and procedures
• The role will be a member of and participate actively in the GBM Business and Risk Control Committees
• The Role reports into Head of Regulatory Compliance

Requirements

• University degree in Law, Accounting, Business or related fields
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in compliance, audit or risk management field in financial services industry, with solid coverage of global banking and markets
• Significant leadership experience and a strategic thinker
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business
• Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex issues
• Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with regulators
• Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and / or data and provide succinct summary for management
• Experience of working within a matrixed environment preferred
• Ability to lead change in Hong Kong, contributing to joining up with the other teams in Risk and Business globally
