Job Responsibilities:

• Identify the business risk areas and recommend control measures and procedures
• Consolidate risk assessment results and prepare report to management on a regular basis
• Review internal control policies and procedures on a regular basis including Code of Bank Practice Assessment, Client Suitability Assessment Policy & Guidelines, AML/CFT Policy etc.
• Deliver control checking and surveillance program regularly, such as client suitability, end-to-end selling process, high risk transaction checking etc.
• Ensure that staff are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks
• Optimize operating efficiency while balancing the effectiveness of decision making

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years' experience of Business Management / Risk Management / Auditing or related discipline
• Strong leadership capabilities and management skills, with the ability to deliver effective controls within Retail Risk Operations
• Strong understanding of front line business operation in Retail Banking, with experience in Chinese banks in Hong Kong is a definite advantage
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements, procedures and guidelines related to suitability framework
• Strong knowledge of HKMA, SFC and HKAB guidelines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
