IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops and other devices. It employs around 8,500 employees globally and comprises five functions: Client Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Data Centre and Service Management, Relationship Management, Project Management and PMO, and Risk and Administration. Collectively, these areas define and deliver HSBC’s technology strategy to support the Group’s goals. 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Information Technology Security Specialist, Self Service Equipment. 

In this role, you will

  • Ensure compliance to relevant policies and Security Standards across all Self Service Equipment systems
  • Assist in delivering and maintaining the Self Service Equipment Modernisation Programme.
  • Contribute to all related activities within the Self Service Equipment domain.
  • Defining and managing the Self Service Equipment projects and security policies
  • Driving security excellence within the domain.
  • Defining ITS control requirements for the Self Service Equipment security domain in policies and procedures
  • Operating a first line of defense to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Providing consultation and subject matter expertise to the organization.
  • Influences and engages effectively across a range of audiences, including, Subject Matter Experts, Team Leads and Senior Managers within HSBC Operations, Services, the Business and external Security solution providers.
  • Engages effectively with customers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships, especially with the Group Channels Self Service Delivery teams.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to drive projects and deliverables
  • Share best practice learning with wider team and seek continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work collaboratively across a range of teams fostering positive working behaviors 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Degree holder in Information Technology or other related disciplines
  • Good knowledge in Self Service Equipment Systems, not mandatory but beneficial
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and how to protect against logical attacks
  • Good knowledge of comms network functionality
  • Proven track record in delivering change
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to think creatively to deliver innovative solutions  
  • Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across boundaries
  • Excellent written and spoken English

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting.
