Responsibilities
The appointee will lead accreditation and assessment exercises and undertake projects related to quality assurance of education and training programmes. Major duties may include planning and conducting accreditation of institutions, assessment agencies, and vocational programmes; performing assessment of Continuing Professional Development programmes; providing professional advice about the QF; liaison with institutions, government bureaux and professional bodies; developing procedures and guidelines to facilitate HKCAAVQ’s services; undertaking research and consultancy projects; and supporting committee work.
Requirements
Applicants should hold at least a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5 and at least 8 years of post-qualification relevant work experience in the education sector or professional bodies, preferably with post-graduate qualification at HKQF Level 6 or above. We are looking for an individual who has good understanding of the education and training in Hong Kong; strong project management, presentation and communication skills; ability to critically analyse and synthesise information and concepts leading to evidence-based solutions; and excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). The successful candidate should be proactive, reflective, independent as well as a team player. Knowledge of the Qualifications Framework and/or exposure to accreditation/quality assurance work in the vocational sector would be an advantage.
