Job objective:

To assist the managers in environmental policy lobby, promotion campaigns via media and public relations to achieve operational and strategic goals which collectively contribute to the vision and mission of FoE (HK).

Main responsibilities:

• Work with managers of different teams to achieve strategic directions via advocacy lobbying and media relations.
• Assist the managers to plan and implement programs on area of interest under FoE (HK), including reviews on priority environmental issues, building on local and global network.
• Assist the AMC manager in disseminating key advocacy messages to raise the visibility of key environmental issues to the general public by:

• Developing and distributing publicity materials including press briefings and press releases, to the target recipients.
• Handle content writing and maintenance for various platforms including website, social media and corporate communication materials, etc.
• Monitoring public and social media’s opinion on areas of environmental interest, to create positive PR opportunities.
• Organising events including press conferences, exhibitions, forums and Eco-day events.
• Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
• Experience in forming networks & lobbying various concerned parties and stakeholders including politicians, community, and related industry groups
• Experience in public and/or media relations
• Writing and editing experience with high proficiency in Chinese and English
• Comprehension of current advocacy and campaign concepts and strategies
• Strong skills in utilization of different media
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of, and passionate about environmental protection movement
