Duties
The appointee will be responsible for a broad range of duties which include promoting research culture, delivering seminars/workshops for research-related professional development, providing of constructive general advice on research proposals and reports, coordinating submission of research proposals and reports to external funding bodies, assisting the University to maintain close links with research organizations locally and in other parts of the world for collaboration purposes. He/she should be able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The appointee will also be required to have sufficient expertise and seniority to complete the tasks ahead.
Requirements
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree with a proven record of research and publications. They should also be highly proficient in research and very familiar with a broad range of research methods and techniques, have very good leadership, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as an excellent command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua). They should be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, and highly proficient in common statistical tests and proficiency in computer application software.Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Research Associate.
Terms of Appointment
The successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Renewal of contract will be subject to performance, service need and availability of funding. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits and gratuity, where applicable.
