The appointee will be responsible for providing support for coding education at the University. Duties include liaising with various stakeholders for the promotion of coding education including matters related to course enrolment and administration, drafting annual reports, organizing an exhibition of the artifacts produced by the students, and maintaining the website of the project. The appointee will also be expected to carry out other duties as assigned by the Project Supervisors. The appointment will be for a period of 1 year.
For the post of Post-doctoral Fellow, applicants should have a Doctoral degree preferably in Social Science or related disciplines, preferably with knowledge on computer programming.
For the post of Senior Research Assistant, applicants should have a Master’s degree preferably in Social Science or related disciplines, preferably with knowledge on computer programming, plus one-year relevant post Master’s degree full-time working experience.
Applicants should have proficiency in English and Chinese; good analytical and problem-solving skills; be attentive to details; and with good interpersonal and communication skills. They should also be self-motivated, independent and enthusiastic in education. Knowledge about programming for mobile Apps development, such as App Inventor, for controlling digital devices, and 3D printing, will be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
