(viii) Major Project / Dissertation (Including four pathways: Professional Practice, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Sustainable Design Policy and Service Design)
Major Duties:
(a) To conduct lectures and tutorials;
(b) To carry out academic related administration duties, including marking assignments and serving in academic and other related meetings;
(c) To participate in preparation of teaching and learning package; and
(d) To participate in course-related industry collaboration events, talks, seminars, projects and functions, where necessary.
Requirements:
(a)(i) A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Design or Design-related Marketing / Business Management; OR
(ii) A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Design or Design-related Marketing / Business Management plus an equivalent professional recognition such as Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) or Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or Membership of the Chartered Society of Designers (CSD);
(b)(i) At least 4 years of relevant teaching experience in Design or Design-related Marketing / Business Management at degree level; OR
(ii) At least 4 years of relevant working experience in Design or Design-related Marketing / Business Management such as Designer, Senior Designer, Design Manager, Design Project Manager, Design Account Manager, Design Director and Product Manager;
(c) Good communication and presentation skills in English; and
(d) Preference will be given to candidates who have coaching experience in the related fields.
