Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank internal audit and risk management assignments
• Review adequacy and effectiveness of operational risk related policies
• To assess whether Operational Risk Profile has been identified, documented and assessed to the required standards
• Review operational risk assessment program and Key Risk Indicators
• Review and evaluate the workflows covering major banking operations to ensure the compliance with regulatory requirements such as AML, FATCA, Banking Ordinance, etc.
• Conduct risk-based compliance reviews to test the adequacy of controls in place within Business/Function, identify potential or actual breaches and ensure corrective action
• Assist clients to perform data analytics such as gathering, analysis, system design, development, testing, implementation and ongoing support for application systems
• To review documentation for systems and programs
• Support and act towards the BDO Global Vision
• Be committed to act with the firm’s core values and competency expectations

Requirements:

• Degree holder in risk management, banking or business-related disciplines
• Minimum 4 years of solid compliance and operational risk experience in Banking
• Experience and/or qualification in regulatory compliance or audit would be a plus
• Good knowledge of corporate banking & global markets operations and products
• Sound knowledge in regulatory requirement and policies
• Excellent analytical skills in risk assessment and problem solving skills
• Detail-oriented, hard-working and able to work independently
• Experience in project management will be a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work under pressure
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
