Role:
We are looking for a IT Support individual to be responsible for the smooth running operations of our computer systems and to provide user support to the Hong Kong and Singapore offices. He or she will also actively participate in Global IT projects. The individual will have direct and frequent communications with ADS Head Office in Abu Dhabi and other branches. This is an excellent and stable opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a small office environment, with support from a multinational parent company.
- Infrastructure Management
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Support the systems in the LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, desktop systems, file servers and IP Telephone
- Monitors and support servers, windows Active Directory, Physical access and CCTV
- Troubleshooting system/network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
- Develop and Maintain a disaster recovery plan for the branch locations in coordination with HO
Support & Maintain Existing Operational Systems and End Users
- Perform Backups, Systems recovery in case of failures/disasters
- Offsite storage of daily servers backup in a secured environment
- Apply software and security patches
- Maintain and support mail system and ensure mobile device management
- Install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person
- supporting the roll-out of new applications
- End User Support – Providing desktop as well as first line support for all applications
- Make sure to log and resolve all incidents and problems using the IT Help Desk software
Asset Management
- Hardware: Ensure Barcoding and maintain a registry of Part No, Model, Specs, Warranty, custodian etc.
- Software: Ensure ADS is complied with licensing requirements and also security policies
- Manuals / Books / CD’s /Disks
- Offsite storage of operating systems and application CD’s
HO and Global Projects
- Lead/Participate in global/HO IT Infrastructure projects on a time to time, based on requirements
- Contribute, implement, maintain Global IT Systems/solutions as and when necessary
- Join the Global IT Team on system/performance improvements, security initiatives, and process enhancements etc.
- Propose new concepts, ideas, technology for the benefit ADS business through better IT Infrastructure and services.
Other Tasks
- Maintain a virus free and secured network by ensuring that all machines are installed and updated with Antivirus software and patterns
- Monitor servers and system access violations
- Monitor servers / network performance
- Testing and evaluating new technology
- Maintaining, Monitoring and Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- Follow ITIL Service Management Practices and adhere to relevant procedures and tools for the same
- Adhere to Information Security Policies and procedures as communicated by Information Security Manager.
- Other work duties as required
- Bachelors or diploma in Information Technology or Engineering
- IT Experience in a MNCs/Finance environment
- 5 years of experience in infrastructure & user support, VMWare, Nutanix, AD, Veeam, and have worked in a multi-cultural environment
- additional certificate in Microsoft exchange, Cisco, etc.
- Good interpersonal skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
- experience in trading applications and platforms is an added advantage
