The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS) is a self-financing unit of CUHK with its mission to provide quality lifelong education to the community. The School now invites applications for Senior Manager/Manager of Learning Centre Services to oversee the operation of a 6-storey learning centre at Tseung Kwan O.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or a related discipline, preferably with a higher degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: http://www.per.cuhk.edu.hk/JobVacancies/LanguageforEO.aspx; (iii) at least 8 years’ post-qualification executive, service management and/or administrative work experience, preferably with work experience at tertiary institutions; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (v) strong analytical ability and organisational skills; and (vi) excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit and self-motivation. Experience in marketing and event management will be advantageous. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II. Duties include (a) managing and ensuring smooth operation of the School’s learning centre at Tseung Kwan O; (b) working with other learning centre managers to propose plans for development of the learning centre; (c) formulating and implementing centre policies and procedures; (d) overseeing the proper management and utilization of classrooms and other facilities of the centre; (e) liaising with internal and external parties on renovation, maintenance and smooth operation of the learning centre; and (f) assisting in organising School events and other activities. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
