Company Overview
Responsibilities:
- Manages an assigned account list consisting of mill, brand, or retail accounts in Asia, specifically South Asia, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, with the goal of coordinating company resources and services in order to influence the use of cotton.
- Identify strategic opportunities with key accounts and develop strategies to influence product decisions towards the use of cotton.
- Initiate marketing programs and activities that will promote the use of cotton in textile products.
- Identify market threats and opportunities and communicate those challenges to division management as well as take action towards development of marketing or product solutions.
- Travel to meet face-to-face with customers to establish company relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Textile, Textile Management, Apparel Management, Business or Marketing. Master’s degree or equivalent in Textiles or MBA is a plus.
- 5-7 years of account management experience.
- Marketing experience within various Asian countries.
- Understanding of textiles, apparel or home products markets, and textile manufacturing supply chain.
- Ability to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities with customers and accomplish defined goals.
- Self-motivated and able to work successfully in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Written and spoken English language proficiency and ability to articulate information clearly and concisely in Cantonese and Mandarin. Other Asian language capability is a plus.
- Frequent travelling is required.
