The Harbour School provides a dynamic and inclusive education for students from Pre Kindergarten to Grade 8 based on an American model of education. We are currently recruiting highly motivated teachers in Pre Kindergarten to Grade 2, for the 2016-17 academic year.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and feedback in all taught subject to meet required Standards
• Execute duties such as preparing progress reports and building resources
• Communicate with parents regarding students¡¦ learning and development
• Assist supervisors in carrying out curriculum development projects
• Participate in workshops and observed teaching practices for professional development
• Participate in curriculum development, collaboration and planning
• Join field trips and educational visits as required
• Take part in extra curricular activities
• Support school wide projects and initiatives
• Handle ad hoc assignments as required

Essential Qualities/Qualifications

• Possess an undergraduate Honours Degree in a relevant field and a recognized teacher qualification, i.e. Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education in addition to an Early Childhood Qualification for Pre Kindergarten and Kindergarten teaching posts 
• Have at least 2 years teaching experience in a classroom environment with a strong commitment and passion for education 
• Excellent standards of spoken and written English
• Knowledge of and experience teaching international curricula Commitment to quality education
• Relevant full-time class teaching experience
• Excellent team player and individual member who is highly motivated
• High degree of professionalism and exceptional work ethic
• Native English speaker preferred.
