Major Duties: To (a) undertake the project management of new and alteration works, and provide advice on electrical and mechanical (E&M) aspects for the planning, design, construction and operation of VTC’s premises; (b) manage new building projects including the preparation of budget and design briefs, procurement of consultants and contractors, and administration of contracts; (c) design, specify, prepare tender documents for, and supervise new building services installations and builder’s works for major alteration, addition and improvement works; (d) prepare tender documents for the building repairs and maintenance of Council premises, and to manage the work progress of consultants and contractors; (e) oversee statutory submissions; and (f) supervise the work of technical and site staff.

Requirements: (a) A recognized degree in relevant fields or being a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) (Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Discipline), or equivalent, and a Registered Professional Engineer; (b) At least 7 years’ relevant experience including experience in E&M design and supervision of institutional building projects; (c) Solid experience in contract administration and project management of building projects, as well as alteration, addition and improvement works in institutional buildings; and (d) Excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills.
