Company Overview

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • Working as part of the ARCADIS Asia HR team with the prime focus in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
  • Manage the payroll process and benefits programmes
  • Support the HR leadership team on all change initiatives currently including key projects such as the Arcadis Way. This encompasses but is not limited to a new way of working supported by HR process alignment and Oracle implementation
  • Responsible for providing support and assistance to the employees on compensation and benefits related matters

Job Description:

  • Manage and document monthly payroll process for Hong Kong & Macau to ensure employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage the taxation returns filing to the Taxation Bureau in compliance with the tax regulations and handle salaries tax enquiries from Taxation Bureau
  • Manage the global share programme including communications and other interdependencies
  • Maintain payroll process guidelines
  • Advising on best practices with regards to C&B matters to the HR leadership team
  • Act as the first contact person to advise to employees in all aspects of compensation and benefits matters
  • Support the HR leadership team in annual C&B exercises including but not limited to performance management, reward review, benchmarking exercise etc
  • Review all C&B related service providers including but not limited to insurance brokers, MPF provider, payroll system vendor etc in conjunction with the HR leadership team
  • Manage and maintain the process and documentation of all other rewards and / or incentives programmes (e.g. Recognition Award, Long Service Award etc.)
  • Work closely with HR leadership team to support international mobility and staff relocation including relocation support
  • Work with the Arcadis HR Team on HR projects and change initiatives, not limited to HR process alignment, payroll system enhancement, Oracle implementation etc
  • Participate and deliver other ad hoc projects and duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred
  • More than 3-5 years’ experience within a payroll specialist role, ideally within a MNC organization focusing on a number of different jurisdictions in Asia
  • Well-versed with HK employment legislation. Knowledge of Macau is an advantage.
  • Good attention to detail, good organizational and planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-driven, independent, proactive and a team player
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize work load
  • Cultural awareness and understanding
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Previous knowledge of using HR systems
  • Proficient in PC application, Microsoft Excel
  • Candidate with less experience will be consideration as HR Assistant - Payroll
