Associate Accountant (Accounting Operations Section – three posts) (Ref. 16081907-IE)

Duties

The appointees will mainly be responsible for some of the following specific duties:

(a) daily accounting operations for administration of the retirement schemes, and processing of staff claims, purchase payments and other payments;

(b) preparation of management and analytical reports; and

(c) development and enhancement of the payroll and payment systems.

In addition, the appointees will also be required to perform the following general duties:

(d) general accounting duties including financial accounting, management accounting and budgeting;

(e) general office administration; and

(f) any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree in Accounting or related disciplines;

(b) have at least two years of experience in accounting, auditing or other related fields;

(c) have preferably passed a professional accounting examination or equivalent;

(d) have proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools being an advantage;

(e) be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(f) have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
