Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is recruiting an Assistant PSFR Officer (Leadership Giving) to act as the key pivot for the growth and development of Leadership Giving (LG) for UNHCR in Hong Kong and Macao.

This senior position reports to the head of the Fundraising Office and works closely with the Global and Regional Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) Units. This post aims to increase financial support substantially from the Leadership Giving sector encompassing Corporates, Foundations and High Net Wealth Individuals/Major Donors in Hong Kong and Macao, as part of the global PSFR strategy.

Requirements and experience:
· Chinese national/Hong Kong Permanent Resident with a University degree in International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field
· Minimum 3 years of professional and managerial experience in Corporate or Ultra High Net Worth Fundraising with exposure to the international environment, Public/External Relations, Corporate or Ultra High Net Worth client management in private or public sector entities
· Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese) language skills
· Strong computer skills for overseeing the development and management of PSFR Leadership Giving materials such as proposals and reports to a variety of Leadership Giving audiences
· High level interpersonal skills including relationship building, influencing and negotiating with the ability to interact with individuals at senior levels in a multicultural environment
· Experience in developing effective stewardship programmes that create and enhance lasting relationships, and are resourced effectively to create opportunities for consistent and meaningful interactions with donors
· Good Knowledge of the major donor market in Hong Kong, key methods and performance measurement tools, such as Moves Management Method, etc. will be desirable.

Responsibilities:
· Contribute to the development of a Leadership Giving fundraising strategy and action plans in Hong Kong and Macao, ensuring that they are aligned with UNHCR Global Leadership Giving fundraising objectives and direction
· In consultation with the relevant Units and support desk in UNHCR Headquarters, develop fundraising proposals able to meet the philanthropic interests of the identified donors and raise funds for UNHCR’s global programmes around the world for international refugee protection
· Provide donors with appropriate stewardship and donor care to include regular briefings and reports, organization of field or Headquarters visits, regular development meetings and any other necessary support as requested by corporate, foundation and major donors in a timely fashion
· Ensure compliance to UNHCR's internal policies and PSFR criteria for partnership with the Leadership Giving sector, and also to the domestic law related to the tax deduction benefits for donors
