DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK

The Department of Social Work invites applications for the following post for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youths’ project. This Project targets youths aged 15 to 21, including upper secondary school students and out-of-school youths (e.g. non-engaged youths, at-risk youths, early dropouts, etc.) Through a combination of school programmes, community-based services and a tailor-made e-platform, the Project aims to build an effective, holistic and sustainable career and life planning model in helping our youth pursue their life and career goals.

The appointee will (a) assist the Senior Project Manager under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (Community) to coordinate and execute the plans to achieve the project objectives; (b) coordinate with the community-based team and NGOs to oversee deliverables and outcome assurance; (c) work closely with other functional teams and stakeholders of the project to ensure smooth project implementation and assure project quality.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree (preferably a Master’s degree); (ii) preferably five years of relevant experience in the field of social work or youth work; (iii) excellent communication and writing skills; (iv) proactive attitude and a sense of creativity and innovation.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing August 2017 or the soonest possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
