Job Description
The Business Planning & Development (BP&D) team is responsible for developing ways to accelerate long-term growth and improve financial returns for HKDL. The team will support HKDL leadership and drive cross-functional projects, such as new attractions & entertainment, new hotels, and other major capital investments.
This is an important role in the BP&D team. As an active contributor, you will be responsible for assessing strategic growth opportunities for HKDL and evaluating major capital expansion projects. You will support key business options development and business case justification. You will work with many lines of business (LOB) and internal partners, deliver rigorous and timely analysis, and drive business insights that inform critical business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to business options development and valuation to evaluate major capital expansion and/or growth projects
- Build robust business pro forma and own the model from end-to-end
- Perform financial analysis accurately and timely to support Long Range Strategic Planning (LRSP) development, independently perform market research and competitive intelligence in APAC markets
- Analyze overall financial health of HKDL independently
- Build strong relationship with working-level business partners in various LOBs, proactively identify refinement opportunities and effectively solicit inputs from various LOBs
- Prepare straightforward materials for internal communication and executive updates in a logical and easy-to-understand way
- Collaborate closely with Operations Finance, local operators and segment partners to solicit inputs and feedbacks
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, economics or business-related disciplines from top universities. MBA or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business-related disciplines is preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant experience from business development, strategic planning, equity or credit research, investment banking, consulting or financial analysis
- Proficient in quantitative analysis, financial modeling and spreadsheet creation, with attention to details and ability to multi-task
- Good business and financial acumen
- Strong research skills with knowledge of business research resources preferred
- Good communicator with structured thinking, written and verbal
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, self-motivated
- Open personality, strong team spirit
- A fast learner and able to work effectively under high pressure and tight deadlines
- English and Cantonese a must, Mandarin preferred
